The New Mexico MBDA Business Center is operated by the City of Albuquerque Economic Development Department. The department is strategically focused on filling equity gaps in our small business community, with emphasis on taking minority business enterprises to the next level of success.  

To maximize value, the Center will be supported through partnerships with the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce and the African American Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, minority business enterprise-focused chambers; leading statewide entrepreneurial services agency WESST Enterprise Center; and New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center, an innovation hub; as well as other local partners who will provide training and event and consulting services.

Established in 1975 by 14 members of the Hispanic business community, the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce is an organization focused on improving economic development opportunities and education in Albuquerque and throughout the state of New Mexico. Currently the AHCC is a community of approximately 1,000 business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals committed to scaling small businesses and empowering individuals through economic growth and wealth creation. The AHCC is the largest Hispanic chamber in the country and the largest chamber of commerce in New Mexico. Its membership is comprised of about 60 percent Hispanic-owned businesses and 40 percent non-Hispanic-owned businesses.

The New Mexico SBA office is responsible for the delivery of SBA's many services and programs to the 33 counties of New Mexico. The SBA has developed many small business loan and assistance programs, special outreach efforts and initiatives to aid and inform small businesses. Some of the services that SBA provides are Federal Contracting Assistance, Access to Capital, Export & Trade Assistance. Also work with SBDC, SCORE, VBOC, and Women’s Business Centers as resource partners.

The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is a government-funded program providing assistance to small businesses who want to sell their goods or services to the government, educational institutions, or tribal entities. The staff of advisors are experienced in government contracting and provide a wide range of services, including individual counseling and training to enable businesses to successfully compete for government contracts.
